The people behind FlowsXR.
FlowsXR came out of academia. A group of researchers and engineers who had spent years studying how people experience mixed reality decided to build the things they kept imagining, together. The company is registered in Singapore and the team works across several countries.

Prasanth Sasikumar
CEO and Founder
PhD in empathic computing. Formerly Research Fellow at the National University of Singapore, where he led a Meta-funded programme on VR motion sickness and co-authored VR.net with Meta Reality Labs researchers. Publishes at CHI, IEEE VR, and ISMAR on how people feel and act inside mixed reality.
Hannah Qiao
COO and Co-Founder
Leads design and operations. Background in design and psychology. Co-founder of Juna Design.
Suranga Nanayakkara
Co-Founder
Associate Professor at the National University of Singapore and Director of the Augmented Human Lab. Works on assistive and wearable interfaces that augment human ability.
Engineering
Ryo Hajika
Hardware and Prototyping Engineer
Builds the physical side of our systems: electronics, wearable prototypes, and the software that drives them. HCI designer and videographer by background, previously at the Empathic Computing Lab in Auckland and Massey University.
Praveen Sasikumar
HCI and Psychology Researcher
Runs our user studies and co-design work. Trained in psychology and HCI, now a PhD student at the National University of Singapore, working on immersive technology and wearables from the human side.
Dinithi Dissanayake
Sensing and Machine Learning Researcher
Builds the models that read a person from multimodal signals and adapt in real time. PhD candidate at the National University of Singapore, former data engineer, and a past research intern at Meta Reality Labs.
Shaveen Silva
Agentic AI Engineer
Builds the agent layer: LLM pipelines, tool use, and the backends behind them. Computer science and engineering undergraduate at the University of Moratuwa with a data science focus.
Ovindu Atukorala
Full-Stack and AI Engineer
Ships end-to-end: web and mobile front ends, APIs, and multi-agent systems on large language models. Computer science and engineering undergraduate at the University of Moratuwa.

Where the research comes from
The founding team trained and published at the Empathic Computing Lab in Auckland and the Augmented Human Lab at the National University of Singapore, with our advisors at the University of Auckland and Massey University. That work, on physiological sensing, remote collaboration, and adaptive interfaces, is what the products are built from.
