As the holiday season approaches and things slow down, I’ve been reflecting on my eight years in the XR and immersive technology space. We're creating high-value, impactful solutions in industries like manufacturing, healthcare, education, and storytelling, yet most people still don’t know it. The mainstream audience largely sees us as "the ones who make games," unaware that we're transforming how people learn, train, simulate, and experience the world.
This isn't just a local issue. I've seen it globally, from projects across Europe to events in the U.S., and the challenge is always the same: a huge disconnect between what we do and what people think we do.

These technologies enable safe, realistic training, bring joy and education into hospitals and homes, and even revolutionize how we navigate cities. But we haven't yet found the right way to communicate their value to society at large.
So I ask: How can we help people understand the true impact of XR on their lives and the future of humanity?
